Born and raised in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Valmir started dancing in Pé Descalço when he was only 13 years old. Besides knowing other dance rhythms like Zouk and Gafieira, on March 2011, he conquered the Red necklace, the highest level in the school. Soon after that, on the same year, he began teaching on the headquarters unit (Savassi). He is also part of the performing group and is one of the school’s examiners. He conducted several workshops in many of Brazil’s cities (Montes Claros, São Paulo, Brasília, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais) and in other countries (United States, England, Ireland, France, Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands, Russia, Japan, El Salvador, Portugal, Brazil, Germany). He is one of the most influential dancers in the school and in the world of forró. For Valmir dancing is an unique experience that allows you to forget about all your problems and just relax.

Soon after that, in January 2013, she began teaching on the headquarters unit (Savassi), where she is the directress, since February 2015. She is also part of the performing group and is one of the school’s examiners. She conducted several workshops in many of Brazil’s cities (Governador Valadares, Juiz de Fora, Brasília, Niterói, São Paulo, Porto Alegre, Montes Claros, Itajubá) and in other countries (Japan, El Salvador e United States). She is one of the most influential dancers in the school and in the world of forró. For her, dancing is a way to know and express herself and also learn how to related with other in a respectful and humane way.
