Gilberto Paixão was born in Rio de Janeiro and was introduced to the world of dance about 20 years ago through Axé Music, a typical Brazilian rhythm originated in Bahia. At that time, he took his first steps into Forró Universitário and since then he has been directing his efforts exclusively to the improvement of his skills in this particular dance style. In 2003, after obtaining professional dance registry he was invited to participate in the development of a new Forró style, Forró Cassino, being one of the main diffusers. Since 2006, he owns a dance company, Quem Dança é Mais FelizTM. He also coordinated the dance school Reboco das Artes in Rio de Janeiro from 2008 to 2014. His work made him become noticed worldwide and now he has many students all over the world. He has already participated teaching in some of the biggest festivals in Europe, like “Forró de Domingo Festival” 2014 and 2016 in Stuttgart, “Ai Que Bom Festival” 2015 and 2016 in Paris and Bruxelas and “Forró de Dois Festival” 2016 in Zurich.
